Ćevapi is a traditional Bosnian recipe for a classic sausage-like blend of beef, lamb, garlic, onion and chilli that is typically used to fill flatbreads. The full recipe is presented here and I hope you enjoy this classic Bosnian version of: Ćevapi.

Ingredients
350g minced beef
150g minced lamb
2 garlic cloves, minced
50g onion, minced
40ml water
20ml oil
2 hot chillies, minced (or to taste)
freshly-ground black pepper, to taste vegeta, to taste
Method:
Combine the meats, garlic, onion, water, oil, chilli, pepper and vegeta in a bowl. Mix together with your hands to combine thoroughly. Wet your hands then shape the mixture into sausage-like rolls.
Place on a hot barbecue (or under a grill) and cook for about 8 minutes, turning frequently, or until nicely browned and cooked through.
Ćevapi can be served on their own, but more typically they are served as a filling for lepinje along with chopped onions and a slice of tomato.
