Ingredients:

500g rump steak
200ml sunflower oil
1 bouillon cube
1/2 tsp hot chilli powder
1/4 tsp freshly-grated nutmeg
50g ground peanuts
2 garlic cloves, crushed
2 tbsp freshly-grated ginger
1 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp (heaped) ground cinnamon
1/2 hot chilli pounded to a paste
salt, to taste

Method:

Trim any excess fat from the meat.

Crumble the bouillon into a blender and add the peanuts, ginger, hot chilli powder, garlic, paprika, cinnamon, salt and hot chilli. Add the oil and blend to a smooth paste.

Pour this over the meat and turn to coat. Cover and set aside to marinate for 60 minutes in the refrigerator. When done, drain the meat, place on a hot barbecue and grill for about 15 minutes per side, marinading frequently with the left-over marinade.

The meat should be rare in the centre. Allow to rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
