This is a continuation of an entire series of pages that will, I hope, allow my visitors to better navigate this site. As well as displaying recipes by name, country and region of origin I am now planning a whole series of pages where recipes can be located by meal type and main ingredient. This page gives a listing of all the Vinaigrette recipes added to this site.

These recipes, all contain Vinaigrette as a major wild food ingredient.

Vinaigrette is the French for 'little vinegar' and it refers to a dressing that's made as a mixture of olive oil, wine vinegar seasoned with salt and pepper and to which a range of flavourings such as herbs, mustard, honey or chilli can be added. Because of its French origin this style of dressing is sometimes referred to as a 'French dressing'. Typically oil and vinegar are mixed ina 2:1 ratio for a classic vinaigrette dressing.
