This is a continuation of an entire series of pages that will, I hope, allow my visitors to better navigate this site. As well as displaying recipes by name, country and region of origin I am now planning a whole series of pages where recipes can be located by meal type and main ingredient. This page gives a listing of all the Chump recipes added to this site.

These recipes, all contain Chump as a major wild food ingredient.

Chump is a cut of (usually lamb or pork) meat taken from the lower back. They are either sold as chops (ie chump chops) or, if the bone is removed, as steaks (ie chump steaks). These are ideal for grilling or barbecuing and are also wonderful if baked slowly in an oven.

In Victorian times, however, you could obtain a chump end cut of most meats, including beef, veal, mutton, lamb and pork as well as venison.
