Salata (Greek Salad) is a traditional Greek recipe for a classic salad of bell pepper, tomatoes, cucumber, celery and Feta cheese in an olive oil dressing. The full recipe is presented here and I hope you enjoy this classic Greek version of: Greek Salad (Salata).

Ingredients:
2 green bell peppers, washed, de-seeded and cut into 2cm squares
1 cucumber, peeled and cut into 3cm cubes
3 tomatoes, washed and cut into 3cm cubes
2 celery sticks, washed and bias cut (cut at a diagonal) into 1cm pieces
115g Feta cheese, cut into 1cm dice
1/2 red onion, diced
1/2 tsp sea salt
freshly-ground black pepper, to taste
3 tbsp vinegar
60ml olive oil
1/2 tsp oregano
1 tbsp fresh basil, minced
Method:
In a large (about 2l) salad bowl combine the bell peppers, cucumber, tomatoes, celery, Feta cheese and red onion. Toss to combine then season with the salt, pepper, oregano and basil.
Whisk together the vinegar and olive oil then pour over the salad. Toss lightly to combine then cover and chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
