Ingredients:
3 large cucumbers, pared and sliced
2 large onions, sliced
300ml gravy
4 rump steaks
salt and freshly-ground black pepper
Method:
Add the cucumbers and onions to a hot pan along with 4 tbsp water and fry, stirring gently, until the onions are browned. Stir in the gravy then bring to a simmer and continue cooking as you prepare the meat.
Beat the steaks with a rolling pin then season with salt and black pepper and fry for about 15 minutes in butter, or until done to your liking.
Transfer the meat to a warmed serving dish, pour over the cucumber sauce and bring to the table.
