This is a sweet that's traditionally served at a child's naming ceremony, signifying that the child's life should be 'as sweet as adun'. It is also presented as a gift at engagement ceremonies for the same reason. This Yoruba snack is also a classic street food recipe.

Ingredients:

150g ground maize
1 tsp ground chilli
25g ground onion
1 tbsp palm oil

Method:

Heat the oil in a pan and when hot fry the onions and chilli for 2 minutes. Add the maize, remove from the heat and mix well.
