Rigatoni is a type of Italian pasta. It is a ribbed tubular pasta that's cut straight across (rather than diagonally as for Penne). Rigatoni is a pasta usually served with thick creamy or tomato-based sauces which bind well to the ridges and can flow inside the pasta. It is also a good pasta to use in pasta bakes.
