Welcome to the summary page for FabulousFusionFood's Cook's Guide entry for Noisette along with all the Noisette containing recipes presented on this site, with 4 recipes in total.
This is a continuation of an entire series of pages that will, I hope, allow my visitors to better navigate this site. As well as displaying recipes by name, country and region of origin I am now planning a whole series of pages where recipes can be located by meal type and main ingredient. This page gives a listing of all the Noisette recipes added to this site.
These recipes, all contain Noisette as a major wild food ingredient.
Noisette is a French word that literally means 'nut'. It is often used for 'nut brown' as in Beurre noisette. It is also used for hazelnut so that a noisette in confectionary is anything that has hazelnut in it. Also pommes noisettes, for example, are hazelnut-sized balls of potato, cut with a melon baller, lightly fried and browned in butter. Noisettes are also the small rounds cut from a boneless rack of lamb.
