Aliter rapas sive napos: elixas, inferes. oleum superstillabis. si voles, acetum adde.

Translation


Turnips, Another Way: Boil and serve sprinkled with a few drops of olive oil. If desired, add vinegar.

Modern Redaction

Ingredients:

500g turnips, peeled and diced
60ml olive oil
30ml vinegar
freshly-ground black pepper, to garnish

Method:

Add the turnips to a pan, cover with water and bring to a boil. Cook until tender then drain and turn into a warmed serving bowl.

Whisk together the olive oil an vinegar then drizzle this vinaigrette over the turnips. Garnish with freshly-ground black pepper and serve.
