This is a white sauce made from either yogurt or buttermilk typically served as a filling for Aseed. Creamy, tangy and lip-smacking delicious. It’s very easy to make.

Ingredients:

1 aseed dough
500ml of buttermilk (which is my preference), but you can also use a 1 cup of whole milk yogurt and 1 cup of water.
2 tbsp of white flour
1 tsp of cumin
1/4 tsp of oregano
salt to taste

Method:

Combine all the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Pour into a small saucepan then place over high heat.

Cook, whisking vigorously, until the mixture starts to boil and thicken. At this point take off the heat and continue whisking until thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.

Serve poured into and around your aseed.
