Spicy Cheese Log is a modern American recipe for a classic party side dish or dip of a log made from a blend of cheese, in a cream cheese base coated with nuts and parsley. The full recipe is presented here and I hope you enjoy this classic American version of: Spicy Cheese Log.

Ingredients:
240g cream cheese, softened (or you can use my home-made cream cheese recipe to prepare your own)
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp chilli flakes (or to taste)
275g vintage Cheddar cheese, grated
225g Monterey Jack or Caerphilly cheese, grated
100g toasted pecan nuts or toasted walnuts, chopped
6 tbsp fresh flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
Method:
Mix together the cream cheese, Worcestershire sauce, chilli powder and chilli flakes in a bowl. beat well to combine then stir in the grated cheeses.
Divide the resultant mixture into two portions and shape both portions in to 20cm long logs.
Combine the chopped nuts and chopped parsley on a plate. Roll the cheese logs in these to coat. Cover with clingfilm (plastic wrap) then chill in the refrigerator to firm the mixture for at least 1 hour before serving.
