Frango Grelhado Piri Piri (Grilled Chicken with Chillies) is a traditional Angolan recipe for grilled (broiled) chicken brushed with a sauce made from lemon juice, groundnut oil and piri-piri chillies. Ingredients:

1 whole small chicken, spatchcocked (or 4 chicken leg quarters)
2 tbsp lemon juice
60 ml groundnut oil
3 dried piri-piri chillies soaked in water over night and finely chopped

Method:

Pre-heat your grill, place the chicken pieces on the grill pan then mix the lemon juice, oil and chillies together and use this to brush the chicken pieces.

Cook for about 10 minutes on each side until nicely browned and cooked through. Serve on a bed of rice.
