Christmas Morning Bread a Classic American recipe for a sharing bread of morning rolls with a sticky toffee topping that's traditionally baked on Christmas morning.

Ingredients

24 frozen dinner rolls (or make fresh with this dinner roll recipe)
100g butterscotch pudding mix
100g butter
150g brown sugar
3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
75g chopped nuts (or use raisins or a mix of raisins and nuts)

Method:

Take the rolls and arrange them in a fluted bundt (ring) mould that's been well greased. Sprinkle over the dry pudding mix.

Combine the butter, sugar, cinnamon and nuts (or raisins) in a small pan. Heat gently until the butter dissolves and melts the butter. Stir to combine then take off the heat and pour over the rolls.

Cover everything tightly with foil then set aside to stand over night (this allows the syrup mix to penetrate the rolls).

The following morning, remove the foil then transfer to an oven pre-heated to 170°C and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove from the oven and allow to stand for 5 minutes before carefully inverting onto a serving dish. Serve slightly warm.
