Ingredients:

12 large eating apples
240ml blackberry jam
4 tbsp butter
12 gummy worms

Method:

Core the apples from the stem end going through to just within 12 mm of the bottom (do not core all the way through). Stuff the hole you have made with 1 tsp jam and 1 tsp butter.

Set the apples in a roasting tin, transfer to an oven pre-heated to 170°C and bake for about 40 minutes, or until the apples are cooked through and tender, but are not mushy. Remove from the oven at this point and set aside to cool for 15 minutes.

Set each apple in a bowl and spoon over any syrup from the roasting tin. Insert a gummy worm in the hole in each apple, so that about half the body is protruding, then serve.
