Ingredients:

6 tbsp granulated sugar
160ml cranberry juice cocktail (or mix cranberry and orange juice)
4 tbsp golden syrup
4 tbsp unflavoured gelatine
red food colouring
icing sugar

Method:

Combine the sugar, fruit juice and golden syrup in a saucepan. Heat gently, stirring constantly, until the sugar dissolves then take off the heat and sprinkle in the gelatine. Return to the heat and continue to cook, stirring constantly, until all the sugar has dissolved.

Take off the heat and stir in tow or three drops of red food colouring. Stir to mix then pour the mixture into a loaf tin coated with vegetable oil. Set aside at room temperature until the mixture is firm (about 2 hours). At this point turn the pan over and remove the jelly (if it's difficult to get out then sit the pan in hot water for a few minutes and try again).

Place the jelly on a work surface sprinkled with icing sugar. Now, using a sharp knife, cut the jelly intro worm shapes before arranging on a plate lined with greaseproof (waxed) paper. Store in a dry, cool, place before serving (do not refrigerate).
