Honey sauces have their origins with the ancient Romans. It was they who brought them to France and they've been part of French cuisine ever since.

Ingredients:

2 tbsp honey
120ml white wine vinegar
1 garlic clove, minced
generous pinch of cayenne pepper
salt, to taste

Method:

Add all the ingredients to a small saucepan, bring o a simmer and cook for about 4 minutes.

Serve warm with fowl, pork or wild boar.
