Ingredients:
90g orange jelly (Jell-O)
180ml boiling water
120ml cold water
1 packet (550g) white cake mix
orange icing
Method:
Dissolve the jelly in the boiling water then stir in the cold water and set aside until ready to use.
Prepare the white cake according to the package (or recipe) instructions and pour the bater into a 33 x 22cm cake tin that's been buttered and floured. Bake as indicated in the recipe then set aside to cool (but do not remove from the tin).
Use a meat skewer to poke holes right through the cake (set them about 3cm apart) then pour over the liquid jelly so that the cake absorbs the liquid.
Now set the cake aside to cool completely so that the jelly sets. When set, turn the cake out onto a serving plate and decorate with orange icing (frosting).
