The basic pizza is fairly easy here and the decoration is entirely up to you. You can take the sections of bell pepper and cut into festive shapes, using orange for pumpkin and the others for tombstones. Or you can just use cheese ghosts with pieces of black olives for eyes.
Ingredients:
1/3 batch perfect pizza base dough
120ml spaghetti sauce
225g grated Mozzarella cheese
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
5 slices of processed cheese
2 flat slices from 1 red bell pepper
2 flat slices from 1 yellow bell pepper
pitted black olives, with some cut for ghost 'eyes'
Method:
Prepare the pizza dough by following the perfect pizza base dough recipe. Grease a 30cm diameter pizza pan and press the pizza dough into this, pinching the edge of the dough to form a 1cm rim.
Transfer to an oven pre-heated to 220°C and bake for 10 minutes. Remove the base from the oven, then spread over the spaghetti sauce, followed by scattering over the grated mozzarella cheese and then the Italian seasoning.
Cut the flat bell pepper slices into Halloween shapes and arrange over the surface of the pizza.
Return the pizza to the oven and bake for about 8 minutes more, or until the crust is browned and the cheese is bubbly.
In the meantime, cut the cheese into festive Halloween shapes (you can use biscuit [cookie] cutters for this). As soon as the pizza comes from the oven, decorate with the cheese shapes.
