As well as being great to prepare for halloween, these are also great for using-up leftover Halloween candies.

Ingredients:

360g dark chocolate chips
420ml sweetened condensed milk
2 tbsp butter
300g dry-roasted peanuts
315g white miniature marshmallows
candy corn (and other soft Halloween sweets) and coloured sprinkles (chopped, if necessary)

Method:

Combine the chocolate chips, condensed milk and butter in a bain-marie (double boiler) and heat until the chocolate has melted and blended with the condensed milk. Mix together the nuts and marshmallows in a bowl then fold into the chocolate milk.

Take off the heat then press the mixture into a rectangular tin (about 33 x 22cm) lined with greaseproof (waxed) paper. Sprinkle the mixture of candy corn and other sweets or decorations evenly over the top. Allow to cool then transfer to the refrigerator and allow to set until completely hard.

Cut into squares and store at room temperature in an air-tight tin.
