Being an American recipe, the chili power needed here is the American spice and herb blend sold there as 'chili powder' and not the chilli powder found elsewhere which, typically is just dried and ground chillies. If you want to make it spicier add some ground hot chillies.

Ingredients:

1 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp ground cumin
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp fine sea salt
1/2 tsp freshly-ground ground black pepper

Method:

Combine all the ingredients in a small bowl and stir well to combine.

Spoon the ingredients into a labelled jar. Seal securely and store in a cool, dark, cupboard. This spice blend will last for up to a year.
