Christmas Holly Wreath Truffles a Classic American recipe for a Christmas treat of marshmallow and cornflake candies shaped to look like holly wreaths.
Ingredients:
100g butter
30 large marshmallows
1/4 tsp green food colouring
450g corn flakes red hot cinnamon candies
Method:
Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the marshmallows and stir with the butter until melted.
Take off the heat, then stir in the green food colouring. Add the cereal and stir until evenly and completely coated in the green marshmallow mix.
Drop the resultant mixture by the heaped tablespoon onto greaseproof (waxed) paper. Carefully spread out and make a hole in the centre. Decorate each 'wreath' with three red hots (do this quickly, so that they stick).
Set aside to harden for 60 minutes, then store in an air-tight container.
