This is a continuation of an entire series of pages that will, I hope, allow my visitors to better navigate this site. As well as displaying recipes by name, country and region of origin I am now planning a whole series of pages where recipes can be located by meal type and main ingredient. This page gives a listing of all the Napolitana recipes added to this site.

These recipes, all contain Napolitana as a major wild food ingredient.

Napolitana denotes the use of tomato sauce and grated Parmesan cheese for pasta. It also means three-coloured ice cream (red white and brown, typically, though the brown may also be replaced with green for the Italian flag).

Neapolitanas are also pastries, rather like pains du chocolat, but with a chocolate coating as well as a chocolate filling.
