This is a continuation of an entire series of pages that will, I hope, allow my visitors to better navigate this site. As well as displaying recipes by name, country and region of origin I am now planning a whole series of pages where recipes can be located by meal type and main ingredient. This page gives a listing of all the Florentine recipes added to this site.
These recipes, all contain Florentine as a major wild food ingredient.
1. Generally applied to a French of Italian dish that uses spinach as its base eg Eggs Florentine (also a garnish made of spinach purée or leaf spinach).
2. A biscuit made with nuts, honey and dried fruit. When the biscuits are cooked and have cooled they’re spread on one side with melted chocolate and left until the chocolate cools and hardens.
