Welcome to the summary page for FabulousFusionFood's Cook's Guide entry for Calvados along with all the Calvados containing recipes presented on this site, with 11 recipes in total.

This is a continuation of an entire series of pages that will, I hope, allow my visitors to better navigate this site. As well as displaying recipes by name, country and region of origin I am now planning a whole series of pages where recipes can be located by meal type and main ingredient. This page gives a listing of all the Calvados recipes added to this site.

These recipes, all contain Calvados as a major wild food ingredient.

Calvados is an apple brandy produced in the Normandy region of France. Cider is first made from the apples and this is then matured in oak barrels. In Normandy it's traditionally served as a digestif during the meal. It can be used in cooking, particularly in Norman specialities such as chicken with cream and calvados, crêpes flambé or apple-based dishes.
