This is a Somali and Djiboutian spice blend typically used for rice dishes such as Bariis iskukaris

Ingredients:

1 tbsp ground cumin
1 tbsp ground coriander
1 tsp ground turmeric
1 tsp ground cardamom
1 tsp freshly-ground black pepper
¼ tsp ground cloves
¼ tsp freshly-grated nutmeg

Method:

Preparing this spice blend is simplicity itself. Stir all the ingredients together in a small bow.

Spoon into a small jar and keep in a cool, dark, cupboard. It will store for up to a month.
