Sift the flour and baking powder onto a pastry board. Form a well in the centre then ad the butter. Using your fingers (or a pastry cutter) combine the butter and flour until you have granules resembling cornmeal.
Meanwhile, combine the eggs, egg yolk, salt and sour cream in a bowl. Whisk to combine then add just enough of the liquid to the flour and butter mix to bring it together as a fairly stiff dough (make certain the dough is not wet). If the dough is not holding together then simply add a little more of the egg mix.
Wrap in a damp tea cloth then place in the refrigerator to chill for 1 hour. Use as you would any other dough.
