Young primrose leaves and flowers (either separately or in combination) can be made into an interesting tea. This tisane is mildly sedative in nature and is good for anxiety and insomnia.

Ingredients:

2 tbsp young primrose leaves
1 tbsp primrose flowers
honey, to sweeten

Method:

Pour boiling water into your teapot and swirl around to warm the pot. Pour the water out then add the primrose leaves and flowers. Pour in 500ml (2 cups) boiling water, cover and set aside to infuse for 10 minutes.

Strain the tea into two cups (if desired add a couple of the primrose flowers to each cup as a garnish). Sweeten to taste with salt (if desired) and serve.
