2 tbsp crushed ginger
2 chicken bouillon cubes
generous pinch of hot chilli powder
3 generous twists of black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
2 shallots, minced
3 garlic cloves, sliced thinly
salt and freshly-ground black pepper, to taste
