This is a Kyrgyz and Afghan spice blend that is typically used for coating chicken before roasting or marinating lamb or mutton prior to making shashlik.

Ingredients:

1 tbsp ground coriander seeds
1 tbsp ground paprika
1 tbsp ground cumin
1 tbsp ground turmeric
1 tsp ground green cardamom seeds
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp salt

Method:

Add all the spices and salt to a mortar. Grind with a pestle until thoroughly combined.

Transfer to a small jar, secure with a tight-fitting lid then store in a cool, dark, place where it will keep for at least three months.
