This is an American recipe for a classic seasoning for French fries that also works very well for other potato dishes such as fried potatoes, tater tots, croquettes baked potatoes as well as a range of vegetable and seafood dishes. It’s a spice blend that will earn its place in your pantry.

Ingredients:

4 tbsp smoked paprika
3 tbsp sea salt
1 tsp ground black pepper
2 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
2 tbsp dried basil
1 tsp ground cumin
2 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp celery salt
1 tbsp sugar

Method:

Whisk together all the ingredients in a small bowl. Spoon into an air-tight container and store in a cool, dark, cupboard until ready to use.

Sprinkle on fries, meat, potatoes, seafood, veggies and more.

This is great with air-fryer tater tots.
