Daisy tea can be made with fresh daisy flowers, or with dried daisies (flowers and greens). This can also be made with ox-eye daisies or common daisies (or a blend). You can also mix in chamomile if you wish.
Ingredients:
For fresh daisy tea:
Enough daisy flowers to fill a small bowl
For Dried Daisy Tea:
1 tsp dried daisies per cup
Method:
Place the daisies in a pan, add a bowl full of water, bring just to a boil, take off the heat and set aside to steep for 10 minutes. Strain the liquid into two cups, garnish with daisy flowers and serve.
The tea is pale green in colour and has a sweet meadow smell to it. It is not unpleasant to drink and it has a natural sweetness and to me had a taste of courgette or cucumber to it.
This tea can be made just as easily with ox-eye daisies as common daisies.
For dried daisy tea:

The alternative is to pick whole daisies (flowers and leaves) wash thoroughly then dry them in a low oven or in the sun until completely dry. Use these dried flowers and greens as you would any tea blend.
