Chaat masala has an unusual sour and salty taste that makes it an excellent accompaniment or seasoning for fresh fruit and drinks. (Indeed, the word 'Chaat' refers to various snacks and to the North Indian cafes that serve them.)

Method:

Toast the cumin and fennel seeds in a dry pan until aromatic, take off the heat and combine in a spice or coffee grinder. Render to a powder then combine with the remaining ingredients. Store in an air-tight jar until needed.
