Combine the allspice, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl then mix with a fork to create the blackening seasoning.
Coat each snapper fillet with the blackening seasoning, pressing the seasoning into the fish to ensure it adheres.
Place a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the olive oil. Now layer in the snapper fillets.
Cook the fish for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish is blackened and cooked through.
Remove the snapper from the pan and serve immediately.
