Brandy Truffles: A British recipe for a classic truffle made from a blend of cake crumbs, ground almonds, jam and brandy that are coated in chocolate vermicelli and which make and excellent Christmas treat.
Combine the cake crumbs and ground almonds in a bowl. Stir in the jam and brandy them mix the ingredients together until you have a stiff, sticky, mixture.
Form into a small balls or sausage shapes then roll in the chocolate vermicelli to coat. Store in an air-tight jar.
