Ingredients:

3 large onions, diced
4 large carrots, cubed
3 potatoes, cubed
¼ white cabbage, diced
60ml oil
1 head garlic, peeled and crushed
½ tsp ground ginger
½ tsp turmeric
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt
1l water

Method:

Heat the oil in a large pan and add the vegetables. Cover and fry gently for 2–3 minutes. Add the ginger, turmeric, pepper and salt and mix well then add the water, stir and cook over a very low heat for 30–40 minutes, until the vegetables are cooked through.

Serve immediately.
