Twenty-five Centimetre Pumpkin Pie is a Classic American recipe for a pumpkin pie made with fresh, diced, pumpkin in a custard base baked in a shortcrust shell.
Ingredients:

shortcrust pie dough
280g plain flour
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp ground
ginger
1/2 tsp ground
cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp
nutmeg
500g diced pumpkin
2 tbsp treacle (molasses)
60ml melted butter
4 eggs
240ml single cream
Method:
Begin by lining a 25cm flan dish with the pastry.
Meanwhile, beat together the eggs and single cream. Then add all the other ingredients to a large bowl and gradually mix-in the egg mixture. When all the ingredients have been incorporated pour into your prepared pie case and place in the oven. Bake for about an hour, or until the filling has completely set. Serve with whipping cream.
