English Translation

Very young bladderwrack (Fucus vesicalosus) fronds are edible and are best lightly steamed. They have a flavour like young green beans.

Ingredients:

100g young bladderwrack fronds
3 tbsp butter

Method:

Wash and dry the bladderwrack and remove any tough stems. Place in a steamer basket and steam for about 20 minutes, until tender. Transfer to a warmed serving dish, then dot with the butter and allow this to melt.

Serve as you would any vegetable accompaniment.
