120g o siwgwr eisin

Dull:

Curwch y menyn a'r siwgwr gyda'u gilydd nes yn olau ac ysgafn. Curwch yr ŵy mewn powlen cyn ei ychwanegu ychydig ar y tro i'r gymysgfa menyn a'i guro i fewn yn drylwyr. Pan mae'r ŵy wedi ei guro i fewn yn gyfan gwbwl ychwenegwch y ffrwythau, cnau a'r moron i'r gymysgfa gan eu cymysgu'n drwyadl. Ychwanegwch y blawd a'r beicarboand o soda gan gymysgu'n dda. Trosglwyddwch y gymysgfa i dun pobi wedi ei iro'n dda cyn ei roi mewn popty wedi ei gyn-gynhesu i 180°C a'i bobi am 35 munud. Gadewch i'r gacen oeri yn y tun am 10 munud yna trosglwyddwch i resel gwifren i oeri'n gyfan gwbwl. Yn y cyfamser cymysgwch y siwgwr eisin, sinamwn a'r sudd oren nes yn llyfn. Arllwyswch am ben y gacen cyn ei daenu'n haen llyfn am wyneb y gacen. Torrwch yn sgwariau a gweinwch.

English Translation


Ingredients:

120g butter
120g sugar
210g self-raising flour
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1 egg
150ml milk
150g grated carrots
60g chopped walnuts
60g sultanas
pinch of cinnamon
120g icing sugar
juice of 1/2 an orange

Method:

Beat together the butter and sugar until pale and fluffy. Meanwhile beat the egg in a bowl and add a little at a time to the butter mix, combining well after each addition. When all the egg has been incorporated add the fruit, nuts and carrots and combine thoroughly.

Now add the flour and bicarbonate of soda and beat well to combine. Transfer the mixture to a baking tin that's been well greased and place in an oven pre-heated to 180°C and bake for 35 minutes.

Allow the cake to cool in it's tin for 10 minutes then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. In the meantime, mix together the icing sugar, cinnamon and orange juice until smooth. Tip the mixture on top of the cake then spread evenly on top of the cake. Cut into squares and serve.
